{"id":1533,"date":"2020-06-30T16:23:00","date_gmt":"2020-06-30T16:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cnwglobal.com\/?p=1533"},"modified":"2022-07-22T21:31:05","modified_gmt":"2022-07-22T21:31:05","slug":"la-usmca-entra-en-vigor-el-1-de-julio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cnwglobal.com\/es\/news-logistical-insights\/usmca-enters-into-force-on-july-1\/","title":{"rendered":"USMCA Enters Into Force on July 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced on May 11 that it has opened the USMCA Center in Washington, D.C., to serve as a central communication hub for CBP and the private sector, including merchants, brokers, freight forwarders and producers, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to work in the implantation of the accord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Center will be staffed with experts from operational, legal, trade policy and logistics areas, and will have a direct communication channel with Mexico and Canada to cover issues such as regulatory changes, automation changes that will occur within cargo systems, rules-of-origin changes, as well as new labor laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">-Brenda Smith, the executive assistant commissioner of CBP\u2019s Office of Trade, said, \u201cclearly with the automotive industry, there has been a substantial amount of change.
