Cargo Human Care Run Held Virtually
With live running events on hold due to the current pandemic, Cargo Human Care, a charity organization initiated by the Lufthansa Cargo chief pilot Fokko Doyen, saw an opportunity to hold this year’s “Bürostadtlauf“ Run virtually to inspire runners and cyclists to focus on personal health goals while bringing people together to raise funds for families in Kenya.
This year’s 6th Bürostadtlauf Run took place virtually with more than one thousand participants. The run gave participants the option of running a 5K or 10K, and/or cycling a 30K or 50K, or to become a “Super-Hero” by completing all four disciplines. From August 20th to August 26th, participants chose their favorite routes, tracked their performance through GPS, and uploaded photos and selfies.
Cargo Human Care could not have put on such a successful event without the support of its caring community. CNW, the leader in urgent international shipping, also played an active role in this year’s Bürostadtlauf with a team of over 70 employees and their families.
“We thank Cargo Human Care and its crew for organizing this amazing event. We were delighted to be involved and to support such a notable cause. We are proud of our employees from over 10 countries that participated and we are looking forward to next year‘s run,” said, Abel Platt, CNW Germany General Manager.
